GOV 264 - National Model United Nations II Credits: 4 Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 0 This course prepares students to participate in the National Model United Nations in New York, a five-day simulation of the U.N. and its various activities. Prior to the simulation, students prepare by doing extensive research on the country and on the issues before the committees which are assigned. In New York, students deliver speeches, negotiate with other delegates, write resolutions and prepare position papers. The course is designed to provide students with a hands-on experience. Prerequisite(s): Permission of the Department, or a cumulative GPA of 30, or passage of SPE 201 with a C or better
