LAT 200 - Learner Diversity in Elementary Classrooms Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 A foundation course highlighting the ecology of the contemporary elementary school classroom. The content focuses on learner diversity as related to language, gender, cultural, ethnic and learning differences. The role of community and family supports, as well as current legislation and mandates will be addressed. Observation and other relevant field experiences will be used to evaluate current educational practices. Prerequisite(s): LAT 100 , BHS 207 , PSY 203 , or PSY 221
