HVA 104 - Theory of Heating Credits: 4 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 3 Students learn how to install residential hydronic and forced hot air heating systems, trouble shoot gas and oil fired equipment. Students also learn to receive information on energy-saving techniques and optimization of the equipment. Students will learn both installation and service techniques, including combustion efficiency testing, preventative maintenance procedures and electrical systems diagnosis. Students also learn to design hot-air systems and receive information on energy-saving techniques and equipment. Prerequisite(s): PHS 115
