COM 262 - Documentary Filmmaking I

This course introduces students to documentary film, documentary filmmakers, and documentary film history. Students will study non-fiction film as a genre and will also collaborate to develop documentary projects. Lectures will present methods and styles of documentary filmmaking including informative and persuasive storytelling styles. Students will learn techniques in videography, sound design, lighting, conducting interviews, editing, composing music, and designing graphics for documentary film.
