COM 210 - Visual Effects for the Moving Image Credits: 4 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 2 This course offers an introduction to the theory and techniques of visual effects. Emphasis is placed on constructing visual stories. Basic principles and techniques of visual effects production, animated sequences, opening sequences and titles for film, television, and the internet are explored. Students are introduced to the creative process of developing digital visual effects using compositing programs from storyboard to final video. Prerequisite(s): COM 110 with a grade of C or better AND ART 110 OR ART 112 OR ART 150 OR ART 157
