CIS 111 - Computer Systems and Applications Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 This course introduces the student to the basic terminology and concepts of computer information systems. Topics include: computer business applications, computer components, software design, operating systems, databases, data communications, computer ethics , computer security, and management information systems. Practical hands-on experience will be provided using popular integrated microcomputer application software in database, spreadsheet and word processing management.
