BUS 115 - Computer Applications for Business Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 This course will provide students with an overview of computers, tablets, and devices and their uses in business settings. Students will receive practical hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Outlook and Google Suite. Throughout the course, students will also cover topics such as: The basic use of computers and operating systems, file and cloud storage and file portability across operating systems, computer security and ethics, and a general introduction to database concepts. Business use of applications will be emphasized throughout the course. The course is not intended for Computer Science majors or Computer Information Systems majors.
